The Kwento SMS program

Program name: Kwento. Kwento lets a family capture and share their stories by text message, voice memo, or phone call. When you join a family circle, you may receive: a short acknowledgment when you share a story, one gentle follow-up question, and a notification (with a private link) when a family member shares a new story with your circle. Kwento is strictly personal and transactional. We do not send marketing or promotional messages.

• Message frequency: varies with your family's activity, typically a few messages per week.
• Cost: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
• Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How you join, and how to opt out

Kwento has no public sign-up. You are personally invited to a family circle by the family organizer, with your permission. When you are added, you receive a message describing Kwento and reply YES to confirm your enrollment.

You can stop at any time. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe and stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at the address below. After you send STOP, we will send one confirmation message and then no further messages unless you re-enroll.

Who can use Kwento

You must be at least 18 years old to enroll a phone number and consent to receive messages. Minors under 18 may appear in or receive family stories only through an adult family member's account; we do not create direct accounts for, or collect information directly from, anyone under 18.

Your content

The stories, photos, and recordings you share remain yours. By using Kwento you grant us permission to store them and share them only within your private family circle so the service can work. You can request a copy of your content, or its deletion, at any time. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

Acceptable use

Use Kwento only to share your own family stories with people who have consented to be in your circle. Do not use it to send unlawful, harassing, or infringing content. We may suspend access that violates these terms.

Disclaimers & changes

Kwento is provided “as is” while in its early pilot. We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date.
