Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Koobo LLC (“Koobo,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Kwento, our private, invite-only family storytelling service.

The short version: We use your information only to run Kwento for your family. We do not sell your information, and no mobile information or phone numbers are shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Information we collect

  • Contact details — your name and the mobile phone number you use with the service.
  • Your stories — the text, voice recordings, and photos you share, and the replies you send.
  • Service data — basic delivery and usage information needed to operate the messaging service reliably.

How we use it

We use your information solely to provide Kwento: to store your stories, to share them only within your private family circle, to transcribe voice recordings and lightly tidy the wording while preserving your voice, to send the acknowledgments, follow-up questions, and notifications described in our SMS Program Terms, and to provide support.

AI processing

To transcribe and lightly clean up the stories you share, your content is processed by trusted third-party AI providers acting on our behalf, solely to provide the service. Your original recordings and words are kept as the authoritative record; the service only tidies presentation, it never invents details.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not share your mobile information or phone number with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
  • We do not use your stories for advertising.
  • SMS opt-in consent and phone numbers are never shared with third parties for any purpose other than delivering the messages you asked for (for example, our messaging carrier).

Who can see your stories

Your stories are private to your family circle. Only the members your family organizer invites can see them. We use service providers (such as cloud hosting, a database, our SMS carrier, and AI transcription) only to operate the service, under agreements that limit them to that purpose.

Your choices

You can reply STOP at any time to stop messages, or HELP for help. You can ask us to export or delete your information by contacting us. We keep your content while your family uses the service and remove it on request.

Security & children

We store your information securely and limit access to it. We do not create accounts for, or knowingly collect information directly from, minors under 18; minors may appear in stories only through an adult family member's account.
